2007 Estate Rose
Tasting Notes
This wine is very European in style and colour with a delicate salmon pink hue. It has a fine nose showing subtle fresh strawberries complimented by hints of flint and burnt matchstick. The palate is elegant, fine and savoury with hints of fresh strawberries and minerals with plenty of crisp acid.
Food Suggestions: As an aperitif with canapes or deep fried calamari rings and anti pasta.

The cool south facing vineyard site for these grapes were picked late in the season with moderate sugar and high natural acidity. |
Vinification Details
|
| The wine was made entirely from free run juice with no skin contact to provide a delicate salmon pink hue. The juice was then barrel fermented at ambient temperatures in old oak to enhance the savoury character of the wine. The wine was fermented completely dry. |
